CodeBlue opens new branch in Hawke's Bay
National IT service company CodeBlue is celebrating the opening of its Hawkes Bay branch, which links the region to a national IT service network that typically cuts 40% off the cost of running a PC.
CodeBlue has grown in the Christchurch, Wellington, Hamilton and Auckland markets through successfully delivering ‘big company’ IT tools to small and medium sized businesses, cutting 40% off the total cost of running their PC’s and IT network.
CodeBlue is unique in its ability to deliver highly sophisticated IT tools and services to local businesses with as few as five people, and up to several hundred. This lets small and medium sized firms cut their IT spend and achieve more stable, reliable computing. The largest companies spend 40% less per PC than smaller businesses by tightly managing each phase of the IT infrastructure lifecycle. CodeBlue delivers this capability as a fully managed proactive service, for a fixed price.
CodeBlue CEO Ken Davis says customers are increasingly opting for fixed prices for everything from PC and network management, to disaster recovery.
“A reduction in overall cost - and no unexpected costs - is what our customers want now,” he says.
“We think we have a winning ticket for Hawkes Bay firms, because most of them are still spending 40% too much on IT. Proactive IT management for a fixed price has proved to be a winning formula for us in the other centres, and we’re looking forward to bringing substantial savings to local Hawkes Bay businesses.”
Hawkes Bay CodeBlue Branch Manager Marcus Smith says his company – previously known as Logical - is joining CodeBlue to strengthen its ability to offer customers an array of new and more sophisticated services.
“By joining CodeBlue, our customers benefit from CodeBlue’s substantial investment in enterprise-level service management and support systems,” he says.
“We will remain small and personal enough to get things done with a single phone call, but now we can also deliver services like remote network monitoring and support, and automated monitoring systems.
“We are growing quite quickly regionally and also into Australia, where we have some big customers. Software developed here locally for apple packing houses and meat processors is now mature and selling overseas, so we’re supporting that for international buyers. We can now support overseas sites remotely from Hastings. In general I think Hawkes Bay businesses are served poorly in terms of IT. They still have to call their service person when things break. It’s the customer’s problem to solve, and it shouldn’t be. Our service model takes all the problems and responsibilities away from the customer. We use preventative maintenance to catch things before they become a problem, and if something does go wrong we often fix it before the customer even knows.”
The new Hawkes Bay office is in King Street in the Hastings CBD.
